nigiri software package provides D-Bus-based IRC suite (terminal client), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install nigiri
nigiri is installed in your system.
Make ensure the nigiri package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep nigiri *
You will get with nigiri package name, version, architecture and description in a table
